Moving to Panama City in 1971 from Tallahassee was like moving into a new world. Twenty-Third Street was two lanes and the mall had not been dreamed about. All the major shopping was downtown on Harrison Avenue. Wanda and I have seen so many positive changes since 1971. We moved here to open a new business, purchased a new home, put our children in a new school, and did not know anyone at the time.
Wanda and I have three children and five grand children and they all live in the Panama City area. Panama City has been good to us and has been a great place to raise our children and grandchildren.
I have supported the City of Panama City Downtown for the past 15 years and have served as the chairman of the Downtown Improvement Board and Community Redevelopment Agency. We are very active in the Mainstreet Program and support all the downtown activities.
Living in Bay County and Panama City has given me the insight on local real estate and the political climate in the county. Even though I have not had the real estate license but four years I have been involved in the Panama City Real Estate market for many years, The Downtown Improvement Board and my personal involvement with real property help keep me up to date with the market and local development.
